Anna Karenina in 100 Sketches Published by Sun on Earth Books |
Anna Karenina in 100 Sketches, a cartoon adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s Russian classic. The book is the first in the RatSoap™ series of graphic adaptations of classic novels——using minimalist drawings——in which rats represent the principal characters. The Soap half of RatSoap refers to the emphasis on human emotions over the philosophical (as in soap operas). Adapted by A. R. Eguiguren and illustrated by India Eguiguren. Additional titles planned for the series include Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick, Charles Dickens’s Oliver Twist, and Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness.
